NextGen Summer Kickoff Families with preschoolers (birth-Kindergarten), children (1st-5th grades), students (6th-12th grades) and special needs adults from every campus of Houston's First are headed to Typhoon Texas next to Katy Mills for a fun-filled Friday night on May 29 — and we'll have the park all to ourselves! Typhoon Texas Map Cost & Registration $17.50 per person (ages 3 and above) — April 12–May 4$22.50 per person (ages 3 and above) — May 5–May 24 or while supplies lastOnline ticket purchases are only available through 11:59p on May 24. After that tickets may still be purchased on the night of the event for $22.50 at the Typhoon Texas ticket windows.Ages 2 and under are free.Registration will be available beginning Sunday, April 12 FAQs How will I receive my tickets online? You will receive an email with information about how to pick up your ticket on one of the Sundays before the event. If you do not make it to the church to pick up your ticket, you can pick it up on the night of the event at the table near the Ticket Window. What happens if it rains? If it is raining, we will still have the event. In case of lightning or strong storms, we will have to cancel the event, and no refund will be given. What is your refund policy on Summer Kickoff tickets? All tickets are non-refundable. What do I do if I lose my tickets after I receive them? Unfortunately, we cannot replace lost tickets. You must repurchase any lost tickets. I did not buy tickets in advance. Can I get them the night of? If the event is not sold out, tickets will be available for purchase from the Typhoon Texas ticket office on the night of the event. I have a season pass to Typhoon Texas. Can I just use that? Unfortunately, no. Since this is a private event, Typhoon Texas does not allow season passes. Can I drop my son or daughter off without being there with them? No. Kids of all ages must have adult supervision to attend the event. If you are a parent or guardian and are not able to attend, please make arrangements for your children to come with an adult who can take on that responsibility. What kind of swimsuit can we wear? This is a family event, and we want to make sure we are appropriate in all things. For girls, we ask for a modest one-piece swimsuit. Tank tops are fine as long as tummies are covered. For boys, a one-piece is also recommended. But no competition, Speedos. please. Do I have to stay up until 9p? Nope. You can arrive as early as 6p and leave as early as you like. Will lockers be available to rent? Yes, $10 for small lockers and $20 for large lockers. Am I permitted to bring my own food or beverage into the park? For everyone's safety, guests are not permitted to bring coolers, outside food, or beverages into Typhoon Texas, except for one factory-sealed bottle of water per person. Guests may bring personal food into the park, to the extent that it is medically necessary (e.g. for diabetics, baby formula, gluten-free foods, etc) Will food be available for purchase in the park? Yes, a variety of meal and snack options will be available for purchase. Will alcohol be available for purchase? No, we have asked Typhoon Texas to keep this event as family-friendly as possible! Will the area reserved for preschoolers be open and lit the entire time? Yes, this area is well-lit and will be open for your preschooler to play throughout our time in the park. Will there be enough time in a three-hour event to do a lot of attractions? Yes, we have reserved the entire park and limited the number of tickets we are selling to reduce the lines and give you a much more enjoyable experience. Where do I go if my child is lost? Children are expected to be in the watch and care of their guardians, but if a child gets lost, a staff member will direct them to the General Store, where you will find them.
